A story of a world full of green
Once upon a time, humans discovered the beauty of writing on paper. Since then, paper notebooks have become widely available across the planet and the most-loved way of capturing thoughts through scribbles and doodles.
Fast forward a few centuries to today, and we find ourselves deep into the Digital Age. Laptops seem to be a natural extension of people these days. And yet, most people still see the benefits of writing and drawing in notebooks the old fashion way.
We hear there is a beauty in the physical act of getting your ideas on paper. The mere act of handwriting is known to work wonders when it comes to triggering creativity, keeping memory in top shape, and adding a personal touch to meetings.
The problem is that people love writing so much that it drives the demand for more and more paper. The need for new notebooks encourages the paper industry to produce single-use paper like there is no tomorrow. And that has consequences for the planet.
Last time we checked, 30 football fields of forest are cleared every single minute. If you do the math, it comes out to 15 billion trees cut down worldwide each year. Just pause and let it sink for a second. Shocking, we know!
We thought long and hard and decided it was time to do something about it. We looked back through history for inspiration - when we say way back, we mean way back to the stone age - and found a better way. That's why we reimagined the everyday paper notebooks by using stone paper.
You see, we believe cave wall drawings were just the start. We want to take the concept of carving thoughts on stone to a new level. One in which sustainable rewritable paper is the norm. Writing on rocks is back, and it's here to stay!
That’s why we create rock-solid notebooks to let your wildest ideas go crazy over and over again. But, we don't stop there. We decided that we have to do more. And, by more, we mean we plant 1 new tree for every MOYU sold.
We see ourselves as pioneers in the paper industry, the guardians of the forest, and the reusable paper champions of the world. After all, we’re in business to reforest the planet.
